Posting on Christi's Birth day. Happy Birthday Sis!

I guess my blog postings are now quarterly? It's been more than a year since I got this thing started and it hardly seems that long.

Been working on putting together a Website for my friend Greg for his band Blankety Blank. It's taken me more than a month to get it all together(slammed at work), but now he has a nice looking site which he can keep up-to-date himself. I hope it all works out for him. Check it out and support your local music scene!

Anyway, I guess for anyone who's keeping up, back in July I started waking up early to start my day and going to bed at a reasonable time. This apparently worked fine until the end of November when World of Warcraft came out. Unfortuanately, my guildmates are almost all west coasters, so working with them does not intersect with me getting all my sleep between 10PM and 6AM. Of course this got doubly compounded with Christmas break and now my sleep schedule is back off in the 2AM-10AM realm. Time will tell if I can get back into the groove or not.

World of Warcraft is a great game and it seems to be a long term fun game again, much like Diablo2 or Asheron's Call 2.

Last Post long ago was about me putting links to my NPR favorites for other people to check out. I said I would come back and finish the links later, which of course I never did, but in my defense, I found out why I was having such a hard time finding the recordings, the NPR website has for the last couple of months been changing storage formats and how those recordings are sorted and displayed. Hopefully they will settle things out andI can resume my search for the good clips.

Another change in my life... TiVo situational change! As you know, TiVo is an important factor in my life. What can I say? I'm no anti-TV elitist. I'm a pro-TV elitist. :)
I purchased a TiVo with a DVD burner and setup an UpStairs/Downstairs TiVo share network. Christi bought a corner stand for my old 27" TV and it houses my old TiVo and a DVD player, so now as Mack and I play games on the Compu, we can simultaneously watch Bad movies, or bad TV. Yay! Also, this gives us the ability to record 2 shows at once, although in a convoluted round about way.

Now TiVo has anounced it's TiVo ToGo software upgrade. You can attach to your TiVo from a PC and archive, watch, or burn to DVD shows from your TiVo. Bad news is, it won't work from my DVD burner TiVo(we'll see about that), but I'll be able to archive all those shows from my old TiVo easily enough. HDDs are cheap.

I noticed my book count for last year is only about 30. Not very impressive, but I don't feel too bad, since Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver sapped 4 months of that time. Great book, which seemed to take me nowhere, and so dense it took me forever to get there. Also, the Amber Chronicles are technically 10 books in 1 volume. So I feel I got as much as Mack's target goal of 50.
