As you can see, it's the first day of a new year. Things seem to be looking up. That's good. I've just spent the last week amoungst friends. Nice visit from Ben and Jonathan and Jenn.
Jonathan pointed me to the
AFI's 100 Greatest Movies list. We, of course, decided that we must see them all, so I created a Database to keep track of who has seen what. If you would like to get in on
Our Checklist let me know through a comment here or an

I also have managed to make a book database to keep track of what books I have read. The list is currently displayed at the bottom of my
Books page.
We are currently looking for book lists of top 100 books in english, but only from prestegious institues. Unfortunately there isn't really as much in the way of ordered databases out there about books as there is about movies and more modern media, which makes sense, because of the bulk of media of books, and how cumbersome it is to use that media. After all, a movie takes 1-4 hours to consume, whereas books can often take many weeks of several hour sessions.
Other news... James O'Quinn has finally managed to beg and plead Maggie into marrying him. Really, it's a testament to her strength that she was able to fend him off for 10 years. The real problem I have with this is now I have to go get measured for a Tux again. Bother.
Update: I am looking for valid book lists. Here are a few:
Larry McCaffery's "20th C. Greatest Hits" 100 Most Influential Books Ever Written by Martin Seymour-Smith Random House 100 best novels 100 Books for the Modern Person by Kenneth Funsten (Los Angeles Times) Guys, let me know which one you guys like best. I think that the Random House may be the best one, but the Macaffery one seems to cover a broader set of generes.
