Just finished Harry Potter 7. I had a good time of it. My only complaint of it is much the same as the last 2 in the series, the book seems to artificially stretch the middle of the book so that it takes place across the whole school year. The bulk of the action happens at the very beginning, when they find out what their quest for this death defying episode is, then they tread water for 8 months, then have more action at the end of the school year. I won't reveal more since I don't have a spoiler tag.
I've just started another series, called the Ring of Fire series by Eric Flint. He is the Guest of Honor at he next Mid South Con, so I thought I would get a head start and read some of his stuff. I've only read the first book, but it was extremely fun and engaging. I intend to pick up books from the other authors to read before hand as well as soon as they are announced.
Went out to visit Brett and Matt out at Brown Technologies this past weekend. That was shorter than I would have liked, but they are slammed at the moment, so it was all the time Vic and I could spare.
