Tuesday night, we won trivia. Yay!

The RAM I ordered came in as 1066MHz instead of the 800MHz I need for my PC, so that is a pain. Crucial is good about exchanges, so I should be up next week sometime.

So...
DragonCon came and went a few weekends ago. Without remark apparently. I had a good time there, but once again I found that it would be exceptionally nice to have a room there. We saw some big damn panels. One with Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk , and another that added Jewel Staite and Morena Baccarin . Also the Doctor Horrible Sing-a-long and Buffy Horror Picture show. All-in-all if was just a Whedonfest , but because of that, the lines were very long, and I think I am tired of the whole affair. I doubt I will return next year. I really like MidSouthCon better. It's always easy to get into the panels.

I've managed to get in touch with several Hanson 1st floor Allums today. I'm going to put together a mailing and reconnect everyone, and I think try to get the Scathe Mage website put up, so that maybe we can keep up with each other a little better.

iPhone 2.1 software was released this past weekend. Has mostly bug fixes. The only new addition I saw was the Genius Playlist creater thingie. It added quite a number of bugs for me. I've found some new iPhone apps that I've loaded and tried. Some are jsut fun, others are really useful.

  • AirMe: Posts photos taken up to Flickr.
  • Pandora: Pandora Radio on the iPhone.
  • IM+: All in one Instant Messaging
  • TakeMeToMyCar: Helps you find where your car is parked.
  • SearchQuest: It supposed to Help 2 people with it find each other.
  • Free Level: It uses the position sensors to make a simulated bubble level.
There are others, but those were the wackiest.

Check out the Legend of Neil. A funny take on the Legend of Zelda. Be sure to check out the parts 2 and 3 that are already out as well.

I know you say "no way!", but it's true, 2 blog entries i none day. I just created a Flickr account. It's listed on the main menu to the left, but you can also get to it by:

The reason for this is that there is an app on my iPhone where I can take a picture, and it will automatically upload it with geo-coding as to where it was taken from the built in GPS. Anyway, it could be cool. We'll see.
